Earning the Diversity Education Certificate

• Requirements include:
   
• TA Diversity Workshop: First offered in Winter 2020.
1. A single 1.5 hour workshop, taught by the school’s Pedagogical Fellows (look for the announcement).
2. All TAs strongly encouraged to participate.
    
• School of Social Sciences Office of Faculty Development and Diversity, Diversity Education Core Course, Enhancing Diversity and Equitable Inclusion, currently offered to faculty.

• Attend three additional diversity related workshops/talks/seminars sponsored by the School of Social Sciences Office of Faculty Development and Diversity (Previous attendance at these events and Core Course attendance occurring between Spring 2019 and 1/8/20 will count towards completion of the certificate).
   
• The Certificate requirements must be completed within a two-year period, and by the end of the 4th year of your graduate program, while a student at UCI.
   
• Current post-4th year graduate students may earn the Certificate, but they must complete the requirements by June 2022.
• You can only earn the Certificate once during your time at UCI.
   
• All graduate students are strongly encouraged to participate, but it is not required.
   
• Open to all M.A. and Ph.D. students
