What does OFDD do?
- We work to help all our faculty succeed and be happy at UCI
- We lead School-wide conversations about school structures and processes to uncover
where underrepresented faculty are disadvantaged, and encourage new ways of doing
things
- We create regular opportunities for connection, collaboration and professional development
- We foster a school culture that:
- actively welcomes and supports new faculty
- understands the cultivation of success—especially for early career and URM faculty—as a collective responsibility
- recognizes all faculty’s unique strengths and equitably rewards contributions to our research, teaching and service missions
- believes efforts at greater diversity and equity are worth it
